Hello,
My name is Holly Pitkin O'Brien. I'm listed on your web page under Francis Ivan Pitkin son of P. Pitkin. I am General P.P. Pitkin's great, great grand daughter. Thus, if you are of that decent - I spose we're related. I was amazed that you have a photo of my great "Aunt Bo" (daughter in law of Gen. PP Pitkin) that even I do not have. Thank you for posting it - I've printed it out. I do have the photo of her husband Francis Ivan. Though it is not Francis to my knowledge, it is Frank. My dad is also "Frank Ivan Pitkin" not Francis. But that's o.k. - what you folks have done with your we page is amazing. Very much enjoyed. Take care, Sincerely, Holly Pitkin O'Brien age: 46, currently in Los Angeles, CA P.S., we still have the summer camp that Josephine (Aunt Bo) built in Maine - she was quite a gal from what we hear. Hi Caleb, It occurred to me that maybe you've seen the movie "The Whales of August" with Bette Davis? Well, if so, that's the Maine cottage on Cliff Island that "Aunt Bo" built and was used for that film. When she built the cottage (aka "Camp") (1909 - first used 1913) she only created a summer cottage in hopes it would last about 10 years. In fact, it still stands. She hired a boat builder on another island (Long Island) and it's by God's good grace it still stands. In the photo below, the final scene in the film, Lillan Gish and Bette Davis are standing in our front yard - aka "Pitkin Point", Cliff Island, Maine. I served as a Production Assistant on the film - rather painful to do a shoot on such a small island with such Hollywood Royalty..... Parents: Dr. Frank Ivan PITKIN and Rhoda Lee Nicholson.
